To support wildfire evacuees, the YMCA of Southern Interior BC is offering free access to our three Y-operated facilities in Kelowna including the Kelowna Family Y, the Downtown Y, and H2O Adventure + Fitness Centre.
We hope this will help provide a place where folks can find some respite, comfort, and a sense of normalcy amidst the chaos with free access to our gym, fitness areas, swimming pools, and showers.
How to Access the YMCA's Fire Evacuee Support:
Fire-evacuated households can access our services by presenting identification (driver's license or any other form of photo ID) that confirms your address within the fire-evacuated areas.
Donations are being graciously accepted to assist us in our effort to continue to provide this free service to our neighbours in need.
Note: Due to the high volume of people accessing services, you may not be able to get through to your Y or H2O centre by phone. Please come to your nearest centre and we will do whatever we can to support you and your family during this time.
