Gather your friends or coworkers to get active together with a Downtown Y Team Membership. Teams of 4 or more receive an ongoing 20% discount on the monthly fee. If your team drops below 4 members you’ll lose the discount, so make sure to motivate each other to stick with it.
How It Works
A team is made up of three or more members who have each signed up for individual memberships and have registered as a team.
Each member on a team of 3 will get an ongoing 10% monthly discount on their individual membership.
Each member on a team of 4 or more will get an ongoing 20% monthly discount on their individual membership.
Teams can substitute or add members at any time, but they must maintain the minimum number of members to get the associated discount.

How to Sign Up
In person
Come down to the Downtown Y to register your team and sign up for your membership. You and your team can come in together or separately.
Online
- Create an account by clicking the button below
- Go to My Profile › My Family and add your team members as family members
- You can gather their information (first name, last name, date of birth, phone number, and email) ahead of time or do the sign-up process together.
- Send your team members their barcode number. They’ll need this to use the “access an existing account” function on the login page to create their own login.
- Now that you have added your team, each person can purchase their discounted membership.
- Start by going to the “Become a Member” tab in the menu
- Select the Kelowna Downtown YMCA
- Find the “Team – Individual” membership type that suits your age group
- Use the promo code “ShineTogether” in the checkout

This discount is only available for the Downtown Y.
No, you may come in individually or all together as it suits you. The team membership serves only to encourage you to share in supporting your team in all achieving your fitness goals.
First, add your new team member's first name, last name, date of birth, phone number, and email as a family member in the portal.
Once you've added them, send them their barcode number.
Then, instruct your new team member to purchase their membership by following these steps:
- Use their barcode with the “access an existing account” function on the login page to create their own login
- Navigate to the “Become a Member” tab in the menu
- Select the Kelowna Downtown YMCA
- Find the “Team – Individual” membership type that suits their age group
- Use the promo code “ShineTogether” in the checkout

Terms and Conditions
- This team membership offer is only available at the Kelowna Downtown YMCA.
- Teams of 3 will receive a 10% ongoing discount on their monthly membership fees, and teams of 4 or more will receive a 20% ongoing discount on their monthly membership fees; if a team drops below 3 members, each member’s monthly fee will revert to regular price – no discount will be applied.
- Only those registering for a continuous membership are eligible for this promotion.
- Member must be in good standing or repay their current balance to qualify.
