This past month, Grizzli Winery presented the YMCA of Okanagan with a $3,200 cheque for funds raised through their community markets in 2021.

“The YMCA of Okanagan is doing great work in our community and we are proud to support them,” says Breanna Nathorst, Grizzli Winery Communications & Events Supervisor. “Each year our staff members select a local charity to partner with. Our seasonal and holiday markets feature local artists, farmers and crafters and along with providing an amazing shopping experience and wine tastings, we are able to give back to an organization who was there for many of us during a worldwide pandemic.”

“We are so incredibly grateful to our friends at Grizzli Winery,” exclaims Adria Perron, YMCA Annual Giving Manager. “Our communities have faced insurmountable challenges over the past 2 years including inactivity, social isolation and a decline in our mental health. This donation will enable the YMCA to support those families who have suffered even greater financial hardship due to the crisis and reconnect them to vital programs and services.”

Each year the YMCA of Okanagan is able to provide financial assistance to low-income children, youth, families and seniors so they have equal access to Y programs and services. This is only made possible through the generous support from our community.
