With a family membership, your children can learn to swim while you keep up with your yoga practice. The Y is a one-stop shop for busy families to get active in their own way under one roof. We're here to help you overcome any obstacle to getting active, whether that be child minding or financial barriers.
Monthly Pricing
Membership at the Y has no minimum term, joiner fee or cancellation fee. Monthly memberships are automatically renewed each month on the day you signed up. Financial assistance is available to those in need.

Child Minding
Enjoy a facility workout or swim while your children are cared for by qualified staff. Age-appropriate activities are available for ages 0–12.
Swim Lessons
Quality swim lessons are taught by certified YMCA swim instructors who create a fun and caring learning environment.
Early Registration and Member Discount
Members can register early and get a discounted rate on all our recreation programs for children and youth like dance, basketball, soccer, and street hockey!
Financial Assistance
Nothing should stand in the way of pursuing a healthy life. As a charity, we provide assistance for those who are unable to afford the full cost of membership.

For an additional $13 a month, members can access an adult-only changing space and shower area. Other benefits include:

Towel Service
For $10/month, you can have access to clean shower towels daily.
All YMCA-owned facilities in Canada recognize and honour your YMCA membership. Similarly, Canadian YMCA memberships are generally recognized and accepted by international Associations. There are some exceptions, so be sure to check with the YMCA you want to visit to confirm their policy.
We offer full reciprocity between the Kelowna Family YMCA and the Downtown YMCA. All members of these facilities will be able to access the other facility at any time.
H2O is owned by the City of Kelowna and only operated by the YMCA of Southern Interior BC so, due to our current operating agreement, we cannot offer full reciprocity at this time. But members at the Family Y and Downtown Y receive 25% off the H2O drop-in rate.
Additional Information
Everyone’s health journey is different, and sometimes we’re faced with unexpected changes. At the Y, you can cancel your membership at any time, without paying any extra fees. If you cancel mid-way through your payment cycle, your membership will remain active for the remainder of that cycle (refunds will not be provided for payments that have already been made). Cancellations must be done in person or through email (membership@ymcasibc.ca).
